Purchased by Mitsui Fudosan and located in the present day district of Roppongi in central Tokyo, the grounds for Tokyo Midtown had been a fifty two acre site housing Samurai warriors.

The project consists of multiple housing blocks, office towers, and a  luxury hotel, all connected with retail on the ground floor as well as a multi level destination shopping mall.

The design of the retail components derived their inspiration from the Japanese concept of Wa – or harmony in English – interwoven with elements whose inspiration is traditional Japanese architecture and sensitivity to detail.
